To create a short, engaging video to help industry body Seafish attract UK boats to join their updated Responsible Fishing Scheme.
A simple yet cinematic documentary featuring diverse characters from across the UK seafood sector explaining the benefits offered by Seafish’s Responsible Fishing Scheme.
The UK seafood sector is hugely diverse. In order to engage skippers, the film had to portray the breadth of their industry; catch-to-consumer, from the North Sea tothe South West in a way that felt honest and real.
Making It Happen
Production planning was complex. Ten interviewees at multiple locations across the UK required filming in ports like Dartmouth, Newlyn, and Peterhead; fishmongers inBelfast, processors in Cornwall, and retailers and restaurants in London. Health & Safety was also a key issue when filming on day boats and a cod trawler in the North Sea.
“Thank you for all your work in bringing the revised RFS film together – it wasn’t an easy task, yet you made it manageable and certainly enabled us to meet a tough deadline. The whole team are really impressed with the final cut – thanks again, I owe you fish and chips!”
